It's a fine autumn day and a large congregation is assembled in St. Clement Danes Church, the official church of the Royal Air Force. The congregation includes a large number of those who have served in the RAF. There are however many others of varied professional backgrounds and representing a variety of strands of British life.
And the majority are involved in travel and tourism. They have come to pay their respect to a remarkable man. His name is Tony Wadlow, a man who had devoted his life to British travel and tourism. Recognized by Queen and Country, Wadlow's story is a welcome addition to contemporary British biography. |
